Classic Chinese movies might seem like a thing of the past, but Donnie Yen seems to differ with this Cantonese style of Kung Fu. Having a taste for International movies makes it a must for the mind to be very broad in order to accept a movie from another culture talking about events that might or may not have happened.

The stories continues from the prequels where kung fu master ip man (Donnie Yen) tries to vindicate his community against violence and oppressive and uptight dictatorship from foreigners to Hong Kong at the time. In this story, he battles against Mike Tyson, although Mike is just one of the people he fights but the fight seems to be an epic one. For those of you who don’t know, Mike Tyson is a very weight championship boxes during the late 1980’s and early 1990’s. 

The whole plot was centered around Ip man’s wife who was slowly dying from Cancer and his honor to regains the Grand mastership of the Wing Chun Clan. However the outcome, IP Man was able to defend his title and the respect of his community together with bringing enemies close to one another.

Although the plots and story line was good, however i felt the entire movies was based on complete fighting and sometime the dialogue doesn’t fit what was being sad. I don’t know if it was a bad translation from Cantonese to English or rather was a bad editing altogether either way the movie proved to live up to its expectations. especially in the east where the movies was watched countless times by movie lovers.

Netflix gone Global

In a recent update from Netflix earlier in January 2016, it has made an apparently reach to meet the demands from millions of customers and go Global, bringing internet TV to virtually over 200 Countries. If you go to go Netflix help center, you can find the article “Where is Netflix available?” to be able to determine if Netflix is available in your region.

However, I think this is a bold move by Netflix to reduce the competition from various video on-demand companies alike. Netflix having a much more friendlier subscription plan has one of the most entertaining collections. You might see that from region to region, movies and shows collection might vary or might be better off than the other. never-the-less the reliability of the services thus proves to be more efficiently in content delivery.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens

If you haven’t watch the entire episodes of star wars, you might find this complicated to understand because you have to know and learn the initial stories and backgrounds that are associated with the Star wars franchise.

To start up a few, Episode “The Force Awakens” takes you to a time long after the clone wars and after the death of Darth Vader,it shows you what happened after the empire fell and what became of the Galactic Republic.

Although, not all evil was banished, because as the Empire fell, so did the “First Order” emerges out of the wake. To cut the story short, in episode VII, Luke is apparently missing and the Rebel fighters are still engaging the newly found Sith order. combined with support from the Galactic republic, the new age faces a new form of enemy which is still unknown.

However, this new threat is being backed up by Han Solo’s son – Kylo Ren, who has trained with Master Luke but unfortunately has turned to the Dark Side of the Force.  joined with Rey and Finn, our  young heroine and Hero must stay strong together in order to strike a blow to the First Order.

You might be asking how come, Rey, was able to master the Force in a short period of time compared to Luke and Anikan Skywalker? The answer remain to my opinion probably because, the wisdom of fighting has been enormously strong within her that she can instantaneously relive past legends lives and bring it to reality or maybe it’s simply just a movie playing its course. either way, its a nice movie to watch and you will enjoy it.

Open World games are what have been sweeping the game industry since last year when the next generation games started making more and more game for their consoles. Now OPW is not a new thing but it has not been massively done for different genre of games in history so what is the big change and how would it affect the gamers of today.

Now this game we’re talking about is made by one of the best OPW game developers named Ubisoft a Canadian game industry. Now Ubisoft are very well known for their Assassin creed genres and it became a Hugh success for the company but they want more.

The best series for me, would be their Ghost recon series, if you have play Ghost recon future soldier, you might understand the tactics that are being employed here, but the difference now, is how the studio has gone open world for Ghost recon, this has never been done for the Ghost recon series. Usually you just go on missions and stick to your mission, but now you don’t just go for missions, you determine how the mission plays out. whether you want to use stealth, full on assault, or tactics the choice is upto you.

The style and environment makes it a big change in this franchise and I hope to see something more advance as they are doing for The Divisions game hoping on that soon as well. Now you are a team of four players, well the others being AI but in all combat warfare games I have played, Ubisoft seems to have one of the most advanced AI’s capable of making user centred decision that affects a positive result for thru gamer. So crossing my fingers to have this game when its out. Its gonna be epic.

Being a Fan means that you watch for the latest and juiciest news available when a company like Activision comes out with a new gameplay. Now this new call of duty being the 3rd franchise in the Black ops series. They have gone all future tech. You watched Elysium right and how matt Damon wore this exo-skeleton suite, well that’s what we’re seeing in this new black ops series, more future techs, massive explosion, just to tell other game developers out there that they still have what it takes to make thousands of gamers still play the game way late in the night.

Not to say I don’t criticize the game, I have been a CoD fan right from the second series COD 2, when they were still doing games about WWII now its all different and they went from MW3 to BO3 making a Hugh leap in technology.

However if you have been following up with the series, it does have a nice storyline to it, but nevertheless, with all the action you will pay less attention to whatever the heck the game is talking about and just shoot up people. I did like how they have tried to bring something new, but I would prefer a sort of espionage type of COD you know, that type that goes with multiple players and you just infiltrate different facilities trying to stop bad villains from taking control.

That was the basis for Modern warfare and it developed to a stage where the storyline was becoming more to a movie than a game but that’s the thing that made it so successful in the previous years and giving rise to Black Ops which also stole a critical part of the Call of Duty saga.

So I will rephrase, if you love big explosive building, drones, massive mechs, tanks with spider legs whoo…you are going to love the kind of fire power you have at your arsenal. Believe me when I say am excited about it because the better the gameplay the better the experience.

Now if you leave in certain countries supported by Netflix and have a very good internet connection, you will be able to watch some of the most exciting movies that are out there legally not by torrent download, this is by streaming it directly into your TV for those with SmartTV or for people who has laptops with HDMI’s of people like me who just uses game consoles to do so. Anyway Netflix makes cable a thing of the 20th century, because with Netflix you get to watch exciting movies and drama for only $7.99 yeah I said per month.

Its cheap and with that you can stream on two devices with HD quality. am not here to rattle about Netflix but over the years using it, it is an interesting and cheap source to watch legit movies with full and uncensored scenes without downloading.

On the other hand if you live in a country where Netflix is not yet supported that can be easily solved by you just simply getting a proxy to bypass Netflix geolocation algorithm. One the nicest proxies I have seen so far would be from unblock-us.com company. They provide a very useful service for only $4.99 per month. You can use that to watch Netflix, Hulu and all those great American TV program you would miss if you don’t live in the Americas.

More so, I would like to point you to some awesome shows I think would be very entertaining for you once you do get Netflix. I prefer watching actions and adventure and Netflix does have a wide variety of those kind of movies. So first of all, you might want to get in tune with our good old captain Picard from star Trek the next-generation.

NASA came out with an idea to tell us how space travel is and what we can really do exploring the great sea of stars. Otherwise its some smart ass director who came out with a brilliant idea just before the real Mars vision is about to come real. anyway who cares, they made a movie which was fantastic and I have to admit it was a pretty good movie.

The Martian is about a space mission to Mars of 6 crews, now they encounter an abrupt storm disturbance on Mars so they have to evacuate, unfortunate for our protagonist he was struck by a satellite pole (how vague) in the storm and was presume dead.

The funny thing is that he didn’t stay dead but somehow was alive and this began his long struggle for survival in a hostile environment for more than 400 SOL as they termed it. He survived by going potatoes on Mars in an artificial environment which he created being a botanist as you can imagine. He survived by artificial air generators and pressure suites to enable him move around his immediate surroundings.

I have to admit the drama watching how someone struggles to survive against all odds, shows how vigorous we can become once faced with life and death situations. anyway our protagonist being Matt Damon, has been acting a lot of sic-fi movies since 2013 and this has got me thinking is there a bigger movie behind all this! Nevertheless the movie shows how united   human can become once faced with  a problem no one can solve. The movie for me would be a 9 out of 10. Its nice and filled with passion for science.
