Call of Duty – Infinite Warfare

It has been a long time since i posted one of the COD franchise, well it has taken this long because I haven’t been feeling the COD games anymore until now. Infinite warfare too it up to the Max. The weapons, the Techs, the Ideas everything about it just made it seem like a game worth Playing. I did appreciate the fact that they made known who the enemy was, that this time we are not longer fighting against another country, rather we are fighting on a Planetary level. Yes I said it – Planetary, this time COD went Galaxy wide.  Not to say it wasn’t a good idea, its a change some people might resist the change but it was a good change. Like we saw most of these tech features in Advanced Warfare but Infinite Warfare too it up.

Our Hero is Captain Reyes who was promoted because like you all know what happens to the Captain, when one dies another high ranking officer needs to take over. When this happened, he has no choice but to become the captain of the Naval Ship Retribution, as if they didn’t know what moniker to give the ship. Anyway the games takes us round the Solar System to battle against Mars (who are humans with a different mindset) calling themselves SDF. In everything they say, they use the word “Mars aeternum” literally meaning Mars for Eternity in some sort of phase they always use in the game.

In all, Infinity Ward did an amazing job in the game, the surprising thing is that, the tech they used is so believable and I think probably the DOD (Department of Defense) are designing these sort of tech nowadays and probably will use it in the nearest future.

Alien Covenant

I got extra hyped up when i began watching this movie, from the opening scenes to the ending, there is just one plot after the other that just makes goosebumps fill your entire body and you want to scream.

The Story invites a new explorer in a Space ship called the covenant searching for a new home world where they would begin colonization. Unfortunately there was a Space disturb probably an anomaly which caused their power generator to be broken. In their attempt to fix it they encounter a strange radio transmission coming from the Planet that is not so far from their current location.

Our Space crew, as enthusiastic as they are went to explore what this strange new World has to offer. Never-the-less they were in for a surprise. This was due to the fact that the planet which they landed on has already been destroy by David (the Android from Prometheus) using the Black goo he got from the Alien ship. He wiped out an entire civilization and sort over a 10 year period to biologically experience and evolve the alien species.

One by one our Space Explorer were killed and only to find out that David was the one responsible for the outbreak but it was too late. In desperate escape for their lives, David fought against Walter (which is an upgrade android version). Leaving behind the scene our space crew sort to escape unknowing to them that David has killed Walter and taken his place using the same scar and wounds which was very deceptive. The movie ended by David revealing to our Heroine that he’s indeed David and he was excited as he had so many Colonist embryo to test our his new and deadly creations on.

Fast and Furious 8

From Epic Adventure on racing to Epic Destruction on International Terrorism, the Furious Team are taking the movie to a whole new Level. This thing just got real into some CIA/KGB/MI6 kinda Movie. Our Beloved Family are now going to take down their own member who has just turned rogue. Yeah that’s right Dom (Vin Diesel) played a whole new character is this franchise and believe me, they made it worked.

The whole Plot of Dom having a child and being held hostage due to his new son if he doesn’t betray his family, now that some strong thing to do but as Dom had it, he got around through which came at a cost and price he regrets but it just had to be done.

The Furious Family are back but now they are chasing an unknown villain who has been in the game since Fast 6 known as Cipher (Charlize Theron), however they have not crossed path because the Furious Family always spoils her game. This time she is mad out for them and she’s a killer with no remorse or forgiveness.

The entire Furious Family has no idea why Dom changed, Luke and Deckard had to team up just to find Dom and capture him. As you know Dom is a difficult person to handle, however they will never let a family member go rogue without an explanation or without anyway to save him. They fought against thin and blood to get where they are and they are not going to give up on him without a fight. The whole story line is great from starting to ending, I just can’t imagine that a racing movie can reach this high in it’s career. The cars and destruction of vehicles are so real with little or no CGI that you just feel yourself right in the Movie. It’s so nice that i had to watch it twice just to feel the effects of it. It’s definitely a movie to watch, check it out.

Power Rangers 2017 Movie

I totally freaked out when i first head about Power Rangers Movie. You know as a Kid, this was all we talked about in Primary School, like we select Rangers and identify ourselves as those rangers. Everybody always love being the Red Ranger, Gold Ranger, Silver Ranger or Green Ranger; this was due to the fact that those rangers were in fact the strongest of them all.

However, the recent movie that just came out actually gives you a back story on how the Zeo crystals as they are called came into earth and how Zordon the blurb Holographic Head came into such a State. I liked the story or rather i prefer that concept, because previously all we knew about Zordon was that he was the protected of the Zeo crystal and he need young vibrant warriors to help protect it.  And how they stumbled upon the power crystal which gave them their abilities was epic and became somewhat believable, then again you must have an evil Villain such as Rita Repulsa who’s sole purpose is to destroy all life on the galaxy.

The movie displayed courage, love, fear, anxiety and even compassion which are most of the things you do not get to learn in today’s movies apart from action. You know, the thing i love the most about Power Rangers is that, it’s meant for Young adults or Teenagers and its something that they see and go “Wow that’s so Cool”. 

In all, the movie is a must watch, it might not be a totally packed action movie but the scenes and graphics are just entertaining enough. As a Power Ranger fan i did enjoy the movie. A little Pun here and there but it was good scenery all through.

Marvel’s Iron Fist

Netflix just rolled up a complete Season of the Iron Fist and well my unusual thought to it is kinda slow paced. The action scene were pretty simple not too much completed or bloody like Dare Devil or Luke Cage.  From the 1st episode to the 5th Episode seems kinda like a story mode to get you to familiarize yourself with Danny Rand and what he has been through. After that, the action scene comes alive and dives you into what is termed to be a long and colorful twist of the entire plot.

You might have thought that Bakudo who is one of the faction of The Hand might be a saving grace to our Young Danny Rand, however that seems to be the opposite. Somebody you didn’t expect to help out such as Ward became an ally to Danny.

The whole twist in all made me to enjoy this series nothing to do with the mystical arts or how Madam Gao can possess mystical powers which was not seen in Dare Devil Season 1 when she was talking to Wilson Fisk.

This show will get you to question loyalty and there are moment when you had your doubts as to which side is this character really siding but then again its just a movie with captivating moment. It’s a lovely show and netflix as amazing as they are quickly brings out the best in everything.

Mass Effect Andromeda

With the epic destruction of the Mass relay, you might wonder how will the entire galaxy move across space without any form of light speed travel. So far from the depiction of the story-line, seems Andromeda is set between the period before the attack on Earth in Mass Effect 3, give or take some few years behind. However the story-line will draw from the classical known threat and might even explain more about other aliens that were not present in the last battle for the Solar System.

Andromeda’s graphic is way top notch, you have to give credit to the team at Bioware and EA for coming up with such an amazing environment. One of the things i like when i watched the preview was the technology being used. In all Mass Effect franchise i preferred Mass Effect 2 because of the techs that were there and the dialogues and cut-scenes made it seamless. You just have to love the way this style of RPG lets you decide how to follow up on a mission and what outcome the mission will  play out.

The same style is employed here as seen in one of the latest trailers on Youtube that shows an explanation of the character who will be involved. right now they are using an A.I known as S.A.M sounds new or does it follow a different direction from our usual A.I. that became self aware in M.E 3.

Despite all these, Mass Effect i believe will become a fundamental part in this Next Gen console. I’m already prepared to start playing it when it comes out in March 2017. till next time.

XXX – Return of Xander Cage

Don’t you just love it when action movies just come back after a very long time. Well in this epic come back, Vin Diesel comes back as Xander Cage, The World’s most extreme Death defying Super spy. The starting point and the plot of this epic movies goes a long way to show how much thought was put into making a movie by generating new villains.

The whole idea was to blow up things, make the planet shake and find a group of bad guys who we thought were good guys to take the credit for saving the world apparently just wanted to control it. With  Samuel L. Jackson as Gibbons and his epic death trick, you just have to love the way it all played out.

The ideas of satellites falling from the sky with the touch of a button has been a new thing in the information / computer technology era and the means of hacking to achieve such is quite remarkable.

You had amazing asian actors in the movie such as A-List actor as Donnie Yen which i believe made the movie targeted towards to the asian region a success. common who doesn’t love to see Donnie Yen (IP-Man Legend). Besides this, I believe Hollywood has taken a turn to feature asian actors to gain publicity in the region. As you may very well know that the same actor Donnie Yen starred in the Star-Wars : Rogue Movie that came out Last year 2016.

In all, the movie is a classic action packed thriller and it’s a very good movie to watch with friends. Top rating, I will give it a 8 out of 10.
