Recent arrests in Barcelona, Alicante and Almeria are said to involve three suspected members of Anonymous. The Spanish police believe the gentlemen formed a key cell of the organization and investigators think the group was behind the attacks on Sony’s PlayStation Network as well as Spain’s Central Electoral Board.
None of the suspects have been named yet, but the Spanish police has posted IRC logs showing the gentlemen planning to attack the Electoral Board. A server hosted in Gijon, Spain was also seized in the arrest.
This is only the beginning as Anonymous and hackers in general are not just a problem you can shut down with a single arrest.
